THE LONDON AMBULANCE PARAMEDIC PROGRAMME
in collaboration with the
PATIENTS' FORUM FOR THE LAS
About Patient and Public Involvement - PPI
The LAS Paramedic Programme recognised that Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) is central to the training and development of the Academy's students, and brought essential and independent assessment to the work of the Academy.
Although independent of day-to-day running of the LAS, patients and public involvement is an integral component in the development and shaping of the Paramedic Programme and its outcomes. The PPI involvement on the Paramedic Programme was led by the Patient and Public Involvement Panel (PPIP) made up of three LAS Tutors and three Patients' Forum members.
The PPI Panel (PPIP) was committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all of its activities.
-
To give the LAS Paramedic Programme the opportunity to meet and discuss topics of mutual interest with PPI volunteers, and to seek their opinions on - and involvement in - the work of the Programme.
